Prestonwood presents The Gift of Christmas

Max's parents invited us to The Gift of Christmas program at Prestonwood Baptist Church. Rhett went to play with Maw-maw and my dad while my mom left for Disneyworld. This was an awesome Christmas program. None of the scenery was built, it was all virtual on an 8 1/2 foot tall and 60 foot wide LED wall!

We got there an hour early and walked around. My hair was so wind blown.

Kellyn was sooooo excited to see baby Jesus.

A real horse and carriage came on stage!!

Look at Frosty go! That virtual scenery was amazing!

Santa Clause flew down from the ceiling!

An angle flying above baby Jesus, Mary, and Joseph!

More angels flew down from the rafters (where we were sitting) rejoicing and celbrating the birth of Christ. It was so cool!

Again this was a super awesome production! The only problem was that it lasted 2 1/2 hours. Things were going great for the first hour and half. Then intermission came and Kellyn was ready to go home! She was tired, hungry, bored, and cold. She had been sitting still for one and half hours and evidentally that was enough for a 4 year old, but there was still another hour of choir singing, no more big productions, just praise and worship. She said he had to got potty after about the 2nd song in the 2nd half. While we down there we saw lots of little kids leaving with their parents, but we stuck it out. I would definitely say that the first part of the show is geared towards kids and the second half was more for adults. I loved the second half, but I can see how kids would be so bored by all the "slow" singing and low lights.

The cold front was blowing in.
