Christmas morning!!
The first words Rhett said when I told him Santa came last night he said, "My truck?" He told the Santa at Bass Pro that he wanted a new big truck. He has a billion different trucks. We didn't get him a truck. But he is so into trains right now and doesn't have any.
Opening the presents they bought for each other. Rhett loved the train tracks Santa brought him so much that he wouldn't open any other presents. He just kept saying, "Me not ready."
Since Christmas was on a Sunday this year we rushed to church and were late. I didn't even get to take a shower.
Kellyn was so into posing this day. She cracks me up. And she took her Rapunzel doll with her to church.
Maw-maw's house.
My brother Jacob picking up Rhett who just kept on eating his candy as if he were not hanging in the air by a mad man. The kids picked out the Grinch shirt that he is wearing. They said they wanted to give it to Uncle Jacob because he makes his hands like the Grinch. :)
Evidently Santa also came to Maw-maw's house too. He brought Rhett his big truck!
Gran sent the kids a plug up aquarium and they love it!
Back At Home
The kids got some fun bath shapes from Discovery Toys and a drum set for the tub!
The day after Halloween I bought a bunch of costumes for like 75% off. Kellyn had outgrown a lot of her dress up clothes and Rhett didn't have any. He loved showing his muscles in this Cars costume and Kellyn had fun putting on a wig and dressing like Rapunzel.
I feel like we did better this year at not over doing it with too many gifts. Santa gave them each 2 semi big gifts and we gave them 3 little fun things to open. I still feel like we need to tone it down a bit though. My parents still went overboard, but a little less than last year so I can't complain. I just don't want them to become entitled or ungrateful and lose sight of the real reason for all this...God's selfless gift of his Son to us.
