Trick or Treating, but really more treating

I know it doesn't seem like it by these pictures, but we don't really "celebrate" Halloween. I was brought up my parents and Liberty Christian School to believe it is a pagan holiday. We did not decorate or acknowledge the day. We went trick or treating only one time when I was growing up. We could not dress up like anything spooky or scary. I was an angel and my brother was a dog. Then we ended the night at Flower Mound Veterinary Clinic where my dad x-rayed all of our candy. Today I still do not acknowledge much about Halloween and I do believe it is a pagan holiday, the day of the dead. But I love dressing up! I started dressing up for Halloween in college and was hooked. It was so fun. And now I love seeing my kids dress up. I never wish anyone a happy Halloween only a Happy Fall. We do not decorate for Halloween other than paint and carve pumpkins, but nothing spooky or scary. We are in the world not of the world. So while I know most Christians think it is bad to even dress up we don't and have chosen enjoy childhood with our kids.

The annual Carrollton Early Childhood PTA truck or treat.
Sadly this was the first year that free will kicked in and the kids did not want dress in theme. :(

Our neighbor's had Halloween party across the street.
Ninja Warrior Princess, Patriot Iron Man and The Cheshire Cat.

The annual trick or treating at my dad's veterinary clinic which is crazy considering that they never did anything like this when we were growing up.

My dad, the crazy old veterinary!

October 31, Pajama Day at school!
Rhett had been looking forward to this day since we told him he was going to preschool.

After school they changed into costumes and headed to the library for a free book!
