Ok so Halloween was on a Monday this year which I think may have contributed to my irrational thinking later in the week. So here's the deal...on Thursday, November 3 my dad called and said that there had been a raid on a lady's home in Lubbock she had 160 dogs and that the Humane Society (which is based out of his vet clinic) was taking in a about 20 of them so we should come look to see if we want to adopt one. Well there was this momma and her 3 puppies in the cat room of all places with not tag or paper work on the cage. People to scrambling to figure out who put them there and what there status was. During which time Kellyn fell in love.
The next day was Friday, November 4, the day of Kellyn's 4th grade field trip.
After the field trip I picked Rhett up early and we all went to the veterinary clinic to make a final decision on if this puppy was really the right one for our family or not.
And it was!!! Meet Cinnamon Bunny Dixon.
Kellyn kept sneaking into the bathtub with the puppy every time she cried.
On Saturday, November 5, Rhett and Kellyn both had friend's birthday parties to attend so we were crazy all over town. By the end of the day they all collapsed on the couch together. So sweet.
Monday, November 7, was the first day I was left home alone to manage the puppy with the babies.
Max came home for lunch and Cinnamon whined at his feet until he picked her up. :)
Cinnamon loves snuggling with the boys and listening to Rhett read.
Bo said, "She loves me! She really loves me!"
I snapped this picture the day after the presidential election. Not only they both so cute, but we really needed more puppies and babies on Facebook that day.
