a cinnamon scented star. That would have been more work for mommy and none for the kids. Plus we had already made a gingerbread star.

Day 24

Cross

We decided to do a gingerbread birthday cookie instead of a bead cross so they could both participate. Rhett can't really make beaded jewelry like Kellyn can. 

What a fun book! I definitely want to do another advent thing like this again next year. The verses repeated each day which I think really helped them remember the whole story better.
