Dallas Zoo and Lost Tooth

Since public school started on Monday, August 26 and Kellyn didn't start until Friday, August 30 we decided to go to the zoo for one last hoorah while it was empty!

Rhett showing his pretend lion the real lion.

Rhett loves turtles and was so thrilled to see desert turtles!

Nice shot I got from the train ride.

petting hedge hogs.

There the zoo was so empty that they allowed us to pet the porcupine because no one else was around.

The handlers asked if Rhett wanted this zoo animal to play with his pet lion.

Kellyn was a big help and offered to push Rhett around while he enjoyed being in charge of the map and telling us where to go next.

Rhett was SHOCKED by how big the Galapagos Tortoises were.

Rhett was so in love with the reptile building!

This one is my favorite!  Rhett and a King Cobra sticking their tongues out at each other.

We ended our visit on the carousel.

It was fun day, but I know with the baby on the way I know we likely won't be back to the zoo in over a year from now. :(

About an hour after we got home from the zoo, Kellyn was snacking on some apple slices and her tooth fell out! She lost her 2nd tooth 2 days before school started!

The Tooth Fairy came and left a glittery note!
