Kellyn read so much this summer! She is clearly not my child because in my struggle with dyslexia I dreaded reading. She can't get enough of it and I love it!
She read all these chapter books plus more that were already returned to the library.
She was introduced to the Katie Kazoo, Switcheroo series by her friend, Addison, and can't get enough of them. There are only 3 pictured here, but she read 6 total. I prefer them over Junie B. Jones because Junie speaks inappropriately to her elders and friends and Kellyn started speaking like that so she lost the privilege of reading them.
This summer Rhett only wanted to check out books about sea animals and snakes.
This year Rhett will be starting preschool for the first time and he is so excited! He will be attending the same school as Sister, but only going 2 days a week from 8:45 - 1:00. And this will be Kellyn's first year to be in class all day. Last year she was in 1/2 day Kindergarten, but Lakeland doesn't offer 1/2 day 1st grade :( so she will be there until 3:30. Thats a long day and we will miss her.
