Messy House Full of Food

Yesterday my mom sent some nice ladies to come clean my house and they did a fabulous job. It was so great to come home after running errands to beautifully clean home. What a special treat. I will miss them so much.

Then today we messed it all up.
We played Surgery, Fireman and puzzles which was a welcome break from the daily "Baby and Momma." I was really getting bored of that and Fireman doesn't require me to squeeze into a tiny tent. All I have to do is hide in the bathroom while Fireman Rhett or Firewoman Kellyn put out the fire and save me. We also played Cars. This is a game Rhett likes to play as much and as often as Kellyn likes to play Baby. Then we ended with some Feeling Flashcards and practiced looking at ourselves in the mirror making different feeling faces.

both of them trying to stir at the same time.
This morning we made these yummy No-Bake Energy Bites I found on Pinterest, put it in the fridge.
Then we went to Story Time at the Library. Which by the way is not at all the fun social experience for me that it once was. All of Kellyn's friends go to preschool 3 to 4 days a week now so they aren't at the library anymore which is weird because that is the group of moms that I first got to know and why I joined the CECPTA. But now it's over. That time is over. Kellyn will be in Kindergarten next year and won't be going to Story Time anymore. And the kids in Rhett's playgroup go to preschool on Tuesdays and Thursdays and Rhett doesn't go at all. But today was Wednesday so I don't know why none of them were there. It's just a different group I guess. It's just been a little sad the last few Wednesdays not seeing anyone I know and have it be such a small group in the Story Time room when it used to be a good sized crowd.

They took turns cracking the eggs for the banana nut bread.
Anyways, when we got back we rolled the Energy Bites into balls and had them for lunch along with yogurt and peas. I know that was silly, but it was good and pretty filling. We also made Banana Nut Bread and Berry Good Spinach Smoothies.

So now the living room is riddled with toys once again, the kitchen is a huge mess, and I'm behind on laundry, but the kids had fun, the house is filled with the yummy smell of baking bread and instead of cleaning up during nap time I'm blogging about it.

Due to all the baking and making today I ended up doing 3 sink fulls of dishes, ugghh, and I still had to make dinner which would make yet another sink full of dishes to do at night. But Max was home by 5 so he took the kids outside to play while I cooked and the kids enjoyed rolling the meatballs. Then he helped do the dishes! So sweet.
