Kellyn and God

I have got to write this down before I forget it. When I picked Kellyn up from preschool today it was cold (about 41 degrees). I asked her if she got to play outside on the playground or if it was too cold. She said they didn't get to play outside today, but that she wasn't cold because God made her warm. "What do you mean, 'God made you warm.'" She said that everyone else was shivering and cold when they went outside to walk from their little classroom into the big building, but that she wasn't because she ask God to make her warm. She said, "I remember that you told me I could talk to God anywhere so I looked up at the sky and prayed to Him to keep me warm today and He did!" Oh I started to tear up a little bit. She is talking to Him, not just repeating a prayer, but actually developing a relationship with Him. But that wasn't all. She told me how God made her feel good today. "We were playing in the gym and Hailey was sad because she couldn't find a purple ball to play with. I told her she could play with my purple ball and that I would go find another ball to play with and then God made me feel good." After this I was crying little as I was driving us home. She felt good about doing something for someone else and she knew that the source of that joy came from God. I was filled with such excitement for her. She was on her path to finding Jesus. I believe she will be asking him into her heart soon. I used to think a 5 year old couldn't honestly do that and sincerely mean, but now I see that when she is ready she will really and truly mean it at this young age. She has been asking lots of questions lately. Such an exciting time. I just want to have it all written down so that when she asks me how it happened in the future we can relive it together. Please pray for her and us as parents to continue to guide her to Him.
