The book 365 Day Outside was not made for Texans. She breaks it down by month and season. Well, here in Texas our "season" changes every other day. What she considers typical seasonal changes we consider typical daily changes.
As you saw in an earlier post it was rainy and very cold on both Monday and Tuesday, but we still got outside. Then Wednesday came!
Wednesday was awesome! So nice and sunny and warm! Rapunzel went around the block a few times on her scooter. We were outside for a little over an hour.
Rhett tossed around the football then I went to the gym and Max took them to feed the ducks down the road before it got dark. So, all said and done, the kids were outside for about 2 hours and it was good thing too because then Thursday came...
Thursday was a super cold day. Rhett insisted on keeping his bear in his coat to keep him warm. Isn't that sweet. He obviously has a big sister. Rhett loves Thursdays now because we have started going to a little Gymboree class together. He loved Kindermusik, but now that is almost over and he is speaking so well I thought he needed something more physical. He asks about going to Gymboree all the time now. It is pretty fun.
38 degrees and we were the only ones out! It a was super nice and sunny day, just freezing cold.
Miss Lily loved it! It took me a few minutes to adjust, but then I was fine. However, I sure was happy to get back inside and start the fireplace.
Friday was great! However, I forgot to get any pictures. Kellyn had her little dance class then we came home, ate lunch and played outside while I talked on the phone. The kids react to my being on the phone better when they are outside as opposed to the inside when they whine, scream, and beg me to get off the phone. It was such a gorgeous, warm and sunny day. Kellyn rode her scooter around the block while wearing her pink tights, black leotard and tutu.
