We had been talking about going to the dentist for a few days and Kellyn told him how much fun it is there because you get to watch a movie. Max and I went to the dentist on Tuesday and Rhett was sad when I told him it wasn't his turn yet, but that he would get to go tomorrow. On the car ride there Kellyn told him that he needed to open his mouth when the lady and the man asked him to and that he would get to pick a prize.
He picked Thomas the Train to watch.
He was so excited when he got to pick his new toothbrush himself.
He just laid there and watched a movie while they cleaned, poked and flossed his teeth.
When Kellyn finished with her appointment she came into Rhett's room with us to show off her new toothbrush and bag 'o prizes. It was cold outside, but she insisted on wearing a dress to the dentist and she was especially pleased with herself when the hygienist told her how pretty it was.
They said Rhett was the best 2 1/2 year old patient. They were even able to take x-rays. They said they can't usually take x-rays of 2 year olds, but Rhett did super. Kellyn was able to get x-rays when she was 2 1/2 as well. On his way back from getting x-rays he stopped to pick out his prizes. In his bag was a thing of floss. He got it out and asked me to get him some. So I pulled some off for him and he proceeded to floss his teeth. The dentist and all the hygienists just loved it and told each other to come look at him flossing his teeth. They asked me to take his picture and send it to them because they have never seen a 2 year old do that. haha!
Rhett is a funny little guy. He keeps us quite entertained much like his sister.
