The Property

Big Sister taught baby brother how to hide
from Mommy. We were trying to pack to
go to the property.
We go out to my parents' property in Loving, Tx. about 3 times a year. April is the best time to go, but then again April is the best time to go and do anything in Texas. I go to fish, fish, and fish some more. Max goes to walk around and pretend like he is hunting and the kids go to play outside and get spoiled by their grandparents. My parents go to work and do whatever my brother tells them, while he does not own the property he is the "ranch manager." This time we went because my brother was hosting his annual neighbor lunch and speech. He wants to make sure all the other property owners are on the same page as far as not killing too many deer or that are too small or too big so as to increase the population. So we went to help set up for that and so the people who brought their kids would have my kids to play with.
These kids love scooping up rocks and sand and there is plenty of it out there.

Kellyn loves worms, all worm, real or fake, but she is afraid of catfish.
She did not want to join us fishing.

Here is a picture of the catfish feeding. They are huge and over populated. And this is the 2nd fish I caught. It wasn't quite as big as the 1st one I caught, but my brother took my camera to find a turkey. It is turkey season and we could hear them gobbling all around us.

The Men: Max, Rhett, and Uncle Jacob, fishing.

My little fisherman in training. At least one of my kids isn't afraid of fish. Although, he was not too helpful throwing the worms into the tank.

So sweet, father and son.

Brother-in-laws. My brother and my husband.

Rhett could not get enough of the 4-wheeler. We all took turns driving him around.

He looks like such a rough and tough little boy in this pic.

Where was Kellyn you ask? After the neighbors left and after rest time she chose to put her pajamas on and run a store out of her trailer. She had us buy fruits and water and books from her.

Max taught Rhett how blow in the deer call event though it is turkey season, but whatever, they had fun. Once Rhett got the hang of it he would not stop making the loud deer call sound. Kellyn said started calling him the baby deer. She said, "Maybe if we give the baby deer some fruit he will stop."
