Good Grief, February has been the month of change of us.
It rained on Saturday...all day. And Max had to work.
Rhett loves watching the rain.
So in preparation for putting our house on the market in May the kids and I packed up a few things to put in storage at my dad's veterinary clinic. We've been taking a box or 2 over to the storage building each week just to begin the decluttering process. When we got back from dropping those boxes off I got a text from our realtor, "Hey Kristy, I have a buyer that is looking in Coppell and Carrollton under 225K. I'd like to show him your house tomorrow - IF you feel comfortable. Sometimes between 2-4. No biggie if you don't feel ready." I asked Max what he thought and he said we should do it. He would be home early to help. I called my mom and told her to get over here quick with the big truck. We loaded book cases and boxes and chairs and took them all to their storage building at the clinic. Then my dad came back around 5:00 for another load of the same. The kids were waiting for him outside in the rain.
We followed them over there this time with a minivan full of boxes and ate dinner at Maw-maw's house.
It was looking less and less cluttered around here, but we still had to clean and touch up a few things so we stayed home from church to do all that. Then left around noon for Rhett to take his nap at my mom's house since the realtor was showing during nap time.
The boys.
My mom's minis were so dirty from the rain.
At end of Sunday night Max was looking on line for houses and found one we both love and want to go see. So he is ready to put our house on the market next week! I mean since we had done so much clearing out and cleaning up it seems as though we actually could have the house ready to sell by next week. So I email Kelley and told her we wanted to move up the date. She emailed back saying, "So, I got an email from the buyer last night and he wants to come back to your house for a second showing next weekend. The only second showing he requested, I might add :) If you can be ready, I will schedule the photographer for Wednesday, Feb 29 and we can go live on Monday, March 5th. Will that work for you?" Someone wants a second showing of our house and it's not even on the market yet!! This is crazy! But we are ready, the kids are ready, and my parents on ready. So we are now scrambling to get this house looking great! We have a crew coming out on Thursday to do all the touchups and repairs and re grout the shower and things. Then a cleaning crew is coming on Monday to deep clean everything like the baseboards and ceiling fans and things. Then next Wednesday is the photographer then we go live! Our realtor said she would be surprised if our house stayed on the market for a full month.
So just to recap February thus far: car accident, new car, Max starting his own staffing agency, showing our house, and either selling our house or putting it on the market. This has to be God's timing because my timing was:
February - Max starts his own business
May - put the house on the market
July - move
May 2013 - get me a new car
But nope. God decided to condense all these things together in one month.
