Santa brought Kellyn an Easy Bake Oven! These are the perks of having a daughter. You get to relive your childhood bake tiny cupcakes. :) Now they have a cakepop mix and it's so fun. Rhett is always asking for, "a boy Easy Bake Over."
The next cool thing we got is the Moonjar. I saw this on Zulilly.com one day and thought it seemed easier than the Dave Ramsey envelopes in keeping up with their money. Let me just say it is is challenging to keep track of 6 envelopes. The Moonjar has made things easier plus they came with little ledger to keep track of how much is in each section. On this day Rhett used some of his Spending money to buy some tiny dinosaurs that came in a little dinosaur egg and some bubbles. :) Kellyn is vigorously saving up for that American Girl Doll and this Moonjar and ledger is really helping her keep track of she is doing.
In trying to continue the gratitude vibe we wrote Thank You Notes for our Christmas gifts. I folded and cut white card stock and had the kids narrate what they wanted me to write in the notes. Then they decorated them with glitter glue, stamps, markers... It took about 2 weeks. We could only do a few a day so they wouldn't get burned out and hate it. They really liked it and looked forward to our
