I should back up before putting the Aggie's big win in the Cotton Bowl as my 1st good thing. Actually, our first Good Thing in the jar happened on January 2. A friend of mine in Rhett's playgroup invited anyone who wanted to join her in delivering food with Wee Volunteers for Meals on Wheels. I was so excited because I had been looking for volunteer opportunities to do with my young kids and there is nothing unless you are over 13 years old which mine are clearly not. Although, somehow, Kellyn got to volunteer at Metrocrest 2 years ago and haven't been able to since. But this was so fun and age appropriate. Plus we got to ride on the cool party bus. Wee Volunteers offers monthly opportunities for children to volunteer. I hope we continue to volunteer all year long and not just during the holidays.
This is our little group from the Carrollton Early Childhood PTA, but there were lots more people on the bus with us. Rhett carried that box of cars in one hand and food in the other. :)
