We moved dance studios this year to a more tame, age appropriate, Christian based studio. Not to mention more affordable. This year we are at Footlights and while it is a bit of a drive it is well worth it.
The owner ran recital like a well oiled machine. She is so organized and sensitive to the parent's time, keeping everything on time and on schedule, never running late. Even picture day was smooth and easy. We just showed up on the day and time of our normal weekly practice dress and ready. It was quick and painless.
For Dress Rehearsal just like Recital you are given a 2 hour window during which time your child will perform. We were allowed to take pictures at the dress rehearsal. Here are a few behind the scenes with our friends Addison and Jaron Rainey.
So calm and angelic.
Wild and crazy!

RECITAL!
We didn't have to sit through all the dancers in the entire dance studio just our 2 hour block of time on Saturday. There was 10:30, 12:30, 1:00, 3:00, 5:00, and 7:30. We were at the 3:00. Again, so easy and not stressful for the parents. I simply handed them a bucker with her costumes and pieces and shoes and such and then I sat through the whole show while her teachers got her dressed back stage. Ballet and tap were the same costume, but with different skirts. She wore her jazz tights under her ballet/tap tights for a quick change. So glad I did that since there were only 3 dances between tap and jazz!
We are so proud of our little dancing queen.
