Happy Birthday Yard Sign and Mermaid Tail

 I simply cannot believe our baby girl is 8 years old! 

We woke up this in our yard on the morning of October 12! We had no idea who put it there. But I immediately had my suspicions. This had my dad written all over it. I called my mom and she had no idea, but when she asked my dad he confessed. He had heard about this company, Dallas Yard Greetings, from one of his clients at the veterinary hospital. I've never seen or heard of anything like this in my life. It was so cool! 

Why is she wearing a mermaid tail, you ask.

Well, because she wants to turn into a mermaid. She has been obsessed with mermaids since she was 5 years old. Her 6th birthday was a mermaid and pirates theme, but we didn't know about this awesome tail at that time. This tail feels like a swimsuit material and has a mono fin inside. You can actually swim like a real mermaid in it. We first saw a friend of ours post a picture of her daughter wearing one by her pool in July and from then on Kellyn started saving for her money. I told her we would pay for half if she would cover the other half. The day before her birthday she still needed $17. A letter from her grandmother (Max's mom) arrived in the mail with a $20 bill inside!!! She was overjoyed and beside herself with excitement. She had enough money for the mermaid tail! The next day was her birthday. She unwrapped the mono fin from us then went and got her money and gave it to me to order her tail. I had already ordered it in anticipation of her getting money for her birthday. I took her money then brought out the tail. She didn't have to wait for it to be shipped!!
