The Move and 4th of July

So the last time we moved was 9 years ago, in the Texas heat, in June, and I was 5 months pregnant with a baby girl. Again, we are moving in the Texas heat, in June, and I am 6 months pregnant with a baby girl. I do not recommend this pattern. After a week of moving into our new home then Max getting sick on our first night in the new house and then waking up to the smell of smoke and kids swimming in the pool on our first morning in the house and the endless packing and unpacking, I actually welcomed the break of getting to go to the dentist. It was the longest I've sat down in a week. #‎swollenanklesandfeet‬ ‪#‎exhausted‬ ‪#‎soreallover‬
Although it was a terrible first night, especially for Max, and not a much better first day, our precious daughter, set out breakfast for us complete with name tags. Totally brought a tear to my eye. We are beyond blessed to have her. The smell of smoke was from her trying to microwave chocolate and marshmallows together in a plastic bowl to create a s'mores sauce for the breakfast bread Max's mom made us. :)

The next week she made us a surprise breakfast again complete with place cards, but this time put nothing in the microwave. :)  She put dark chocolate almond butter and raspberries on bread for everyone. She is sweetest girl. So blessed to have her as my first born.

We love our back door because we can raise the window and Bo can watch and hear the big kids swim with the door still closed.

One week after moving in we celebrated our first 4th of July in the new house! The neighbors even invited us to little block party 2 doors down. It was so nice meeting a few of them. Our kids played with their kids immediately and then took off for a tour of the nearby creek and playground. Warms my heart. I think we will like it here in Flower Mound. We exchanged phone numbers and I've already called them about recommending a new pediatrician and dentist. Recently we had to call 1 of them last minute to help us move an extremely heavy piano I bought on a garage sale site into our house at 9:00 at night and he came right over.

We swam in the pool for a while then once it got dark we put Bo to bed and Max took the big kids to watch the fireworks down the road in a parking lot the neighbors recommended.
