We have had many play dates in a short amount of time. Not sure why, just worked out that way I guess. First, we had the Anders kids over to play at our house. I love Cecilie. I could converse with her for hours and still not have finished our conversations. They used to be in our Life Group plus she is a dietitian and I am a parent coach so we have lots of stories and tips to share with each other. She wants us to go into business together making homemade baby food. She has 4 kids. Her oldest, a teenager, they adopted from Russia 2 years ago plus they have 3 biological kids, Maddie is in Kindergarten at Coram Deo, which is one of the things I wanted to pick her brain about, Grey is 3 and then Tripp is 1. Her 3 and my 2 played so well together while we got to talk. I totally forgot to take pictures because I was so involved in our wonderful conversation. We will have to continue regular play dates just so we can finish our conversations.

Then we went to the Patterson's house to play with Kylie and Charlie. Jennifer and I have been friends since Junior High. It was fun being pregnant with our 1st borns at the same time and now we both have a big girl and a baby boy. Rhett kept calling Charlie a baby and putting a toy baby bottle in his mouth even though they are only 1 year and 8 days apart. And it was so sweet how the big sisters came down for a moment to check on their baby brothers. This was Rhett's last day to have his cast on.
And finally the day we had all been waiting for...Cast Off Day!!
Rhett got his cast off on Tuesday, March 8!! He cried at the loud sound of the saw, but once it was off he settled down. We did not find any weird objects or old food in his cast, but his leg was a little stinky. He was a little upset when we threw away his cast boot, but again settle down once I put on his matching shoe. The boy loves to have shoes on. We came straight home and I gave him a fully submerged bath for the 1st time in 4 weeks. I think he enjoyed it. He loves playing with water. Afterwards his leg was all flaky with dry skin so I slathered it in lotion and we left to meet Mom and Maw-maw for lunch at On the Border. He hasn't walked by himself yet, but he does stand up on his leg and will walk pushing the grocery cart.
