Thanksgiving Weekend at The Property

My sweet boys early Saturday morning about to go see Max's big kill.

We are ready to go see the dead hog! Kellyn was still asleep at 8:00 in the morning, but I doubt she would have wanted to go anyways.

Max killed a 162 lb. hog!

This was his 1st hog and the 2nd largest hog killed on the property.

Wind!

My parents with my kids.

Uncle Jacob looks mean and tough, but he loves his niece and nephew. I think he enjoyed driving them around the property on the 4 wheeler in the freezing cold.

Kellyn took the chain off her swing and made a "trap" with it.

The only 2 sheep/goats left. :(  The big ram, Leonard, died about 3 weeks ago of unknown causes, but maybe a bladder infection. But then 1 week later, my brother, went up there to find 11 sheep/goats dead! He said it looked like they had been scared to death and like they were running for their lives. It appears that a neighbors' oil well manager has a Rottweiler that got under the fence and chased them to death.

Max invited me to go to his deer blind with him. Since he had already killed something he didn't even load his gun. He just wanted us to sit and watch the feeder to see what all comes up.

Ratteling in the deer.

Our view from the blind. This is were I usually go catfish fishing, but it was so dang cold I didn't think anything would be biting plus I couldn't bare to stand out in that freezing wind that long.

Well, we didn't see any deer, but we did see about 20 hogs come up this feeder.

And lastly, Kellyn created a very unusual collection of bones in her trailer. I called her on the walkie talkie from our trailer to ask what Rhett was doing she said in a very frustrated voice, "He is messing with bone collection!" She scares me a little. :)
