Kellyn is a teenager in a 5 year old's body. She often sleeps in and we are blessed to be able to let her do it. But Rhett wakes up earlier, around 7 or 7:30 and he is ready to see his Sissy the moment his feet hit the floor. Usually if she isn't up by 8:15 I'll let him go in and wake her up, but recently he has been going into her room at 7:30 and waking her up when she isn't ready and it causes for some arguments between them. He gets so frustrated when she ignores him and doesn't get up. So I told him that he could stay in her room and read a book quietly while he waits for her to get up. And he has been doing it and she wakes up sooner! It's just so sweet the connection they have.
That morning we met my friend, Cecilie, and her kids to play in Plano because I had a Groupon that was about to expire.
I love how much they love each other and how much fun they have together and how they genuinely enjoy each other's company. Things will sure be different when Kellyn is gone at Kindergarten every day next year. :( At least it only going to be 1/2 day Kindergarten and she will only be gone from 8:45 to 1:00, but still it's everyday.
Oh sure she will ride an electronic zebra, but not a miniature horse.
That night while I was stuck in the kitchen cooking dinner Max got to Slip N Slide with the kids. I think he had more fun doing it than they did.
Here I was trying to take an artsy photograph of my newly blooming roses.
And since it is 12 days until Easter (the most wonderful time of year) we got out the ole' Resurrection Eggs and began the first one that night.
