Good Friday = Busy Friday

I know Good Friday is a sad day for it is the day my Savior was crucified on a cross, but at the same time if He hadn't died for my sins I would not be saved and forgiven and free today! “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8. “For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive by the Spirit.” 1 Peter 3:18.

Not too sure what hunting Easter eggs has to do with Jesus dying, but it is a cute and fun secular tradition people have done for many, many years.
This egg hunt was with Rhett's playgroup. It was too difficult to get a group shot of a bunch of 2 & 3 year olds so I just didn't. We met at 9:30 at Cedar Elm Park, our park! So we were able to go before Kellyn's dance class.

After dance class we went up to the mall to get their picture with the Easter Bunny. Rhett was nervous and on the edge of crying, but he held it together.

I got Rhett down for a nap then Amy dropped baby Lauren off for a few hours. Kellyn got so excited that she ran and woke Rhett up to tell him. He had only been asleep for 30 minutes. Needless to say she got in trouble for this. When Lauren went down for a nap we made glitter eggs!

We painted the eggs with a watery glue mixer then rolled them in glitter.

We also dyed a few eggs with the traditional kit.

When Lauren woke up from her nap she was in such a good mood. We even made her laugh.

I love how my kids just love her.

We let Lauren watch as the kids played with shaving cream on the table. This is a great way to clean your glass table and make the room smell good again. Kellyn practiced spelling a few words. Rhett tried to make an R and some shapes.

Amy brought us Papa Murphy's Pizza for dinner for babysitting while her and Jason went to a movie. So I didn't have to cook!
And Max said he had a good talk with his dad and got his first contract with a home health company!
What a great Good Friday.
