My 35th Birthday

I've been dreading 35, Advanced Maternal Age, ugh.
34 was a really tough year. We started our own business last April and therefore, had ZERO income. I was in a mini car wreck and we had busted water heater and some grief piled in there too. So 35 has to be better. I mean I get another year to live!! Another year to share Christ's love with the world! The business is growing. I'm healthy and my family and friends love me....35 will be great!

You can tell I'm a stay-at-home mom because I wanted to go to story time then lunch with other mommy friends. :)
Our church, Bent Tree Bible Fellowship, has started doing a story time every other Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. This one just happen to fall on my actual birthday so I kept Kellyn home from school and took her with us to story time so she could see and play with some of her playgroup friends.

On the playground at church after story time.

Then 6 of my friends and I all went to Nico's for lunch so the kids could play on the playground. We ended up having 12 kids there. I cannot believe I did not take a pic of my sweet friends celebrating my birthday with me at the table....all the ladies who got me through this last year.
It was perfect weather and I even got a little tan sitting out on the patio.

My friend, Sarah D., gave me this yummy cupcake from GiGi's.

My parent's took us out to dinner at Outback that night.

My mom brought tiramisu from Olive Garden as my birthday cake. My favorite!!

Mom, Dad, and Max all chipped in together and bought me a new camera! I got the Nikon D3200! It is sooooo awesome and takes video too! My camera was 6 years old and on it's last leg. I absolutely did not think I would ever get such a nice camera this year.

The first pics I took with my new camera.

My parents. :)

My birthday presents:
Yes, I got a new grill cover, fishing scale, gardening gloves and other fishing tools in addition to my camera.

I meant to start our Gratitude Jar on New Year's, but my 35th seems like the right time. I do have so much to be grateful for. And Kellyn gave me Prayer Box for my birthday. Isn't that so sweet.

On Friday night Max took me out to dinner at Taco Diner. Our friends, Drew and Mandy, joined us there.
