New Year's Eve 2013

The day after Christmas Max sold his truck to the neighbor. It was bitter sweet. On one hand we desperately needed the money and a new car for Max's business. Since he is in home health his vehicle is his office and the truck was getting terrible gas mileage and hurting his back, not to mention that he had therapy equipment stolen out the bed. On the other hand, this is the first time ever that Max won't have a truck. He drove a raised up jeep when I met him then always a truck after that. But we are all making sacrifices. Heck, I drive a stinkin' minivan when I used to drive GT Mustang then a Mercury Mountainier. We need a reasonable vehicles now and not toys as our family and business grows. When the neighbor approached Max about selling his truck to his college age son we gave him an offer and they took it. Max took a week to shop around and test drive a few different cars, but ultimately decided on the Ford Fiesta. And we got it at such an amazing deal because it was the last day of the year. God really timed that one right for us. Turned out the neighbor's truck broke down on his way back to college and could not be repaired. He just happen to need a better vehicle at this time which was absolutely perfect timing for us to get the best deal on a new car and pay some stuff off!

We had such a fun night out with friends on New Year's Eve this year. We drove the new car to Tillman's Roadhouse in Dallas with The Pattersons and the Gibsons.

The table side smores were so good. The marshmallows came in fun flavors like mint and root beer. They are made at the restaurant.

Aww, Downtown, Dallas on the way home.

2013 started off rough, but ended so beautifully. We are looking forward to 2014 with a new baby and a flourishing business. Whatever comes our way this year I'm so blessed that I get to live the dream with Max Dixon. No one said it would be easy. It's taken lots of sacrifices, heartache, changes, and help from our parents, but it's been worth it. What a good and mighty God we serve!
