On Friday, Oct. 24, the kids did not have school so we went to pick pecans at my Uncle Doc's Gun Shop and have lunch there. My mother picked pecans there when she was a kid and so did my grandmother!

That evening was the LCA Homecoming game, also in Carrollton.

The cheerleaders at our school, Lake Christian Academy, had a brilliant idea for a fundraiser. They put on a little cheer camp for elementary students then weekend before Homecoming then at half time of the Homecoming game they got to perform a cheer, chant, and dance. Kellyn LOVED it! She said it made her feel like a teenager. :)
