Max's 39th Birthday Weekend Celebration and Daddy/Daughter Dance!

Max turned 39 on Tuesday, February 9, 2016. However we actually celebrated his birthday on Super Bowl Sunday, February 7. He was bummed about turning 39 and didn't want to do much, but I was able to talk him into having a little Super Bowl Party at our new house with just few friends, but he actually kicked off the weekend on Friday, February 5, by taking Kellyn to her 6th annual Daddy/Daughter Dance. However, since we moved to Flower Mound they decided to go to the local one in Highland Village that most of her friends from school were going to instead of the one put on by the Carrollton Police Department that they had gone to for 5 years in a row.

Sadly she no longer wants the cutie, goofy, tulle dresses. She went for a more mature, modern look this year.

They said they had a great time with Kellyn's friends' Sophia and Caroline and their dads.

Then on Sunday we celebrated Max with a cookie cake and Birthday Beer!

The love of my life, my babies' daddy, and friend to everyone. He is a wonderful husband and father. We are so blessed to have him leading us. I'm so glad he was born. Hope he enjoys this last year in his 30's. :)
Then on his actual birthday my mom brought us Outback for dinner!
He was actually really down on this day, but I made him smile for the picture. He had lunch with his childhood friend, Cooper, and came home feeling like he hadn't accomplished all that he thought he would by age 39. He felt like Cooper had a better life because he is not self employed, has a 401K, has health insurance, and gets to play golf all the time as part of his job. Umm, Cooper is divorced, pays child support, hates his ex-wife, doesn't get to see his 2 girls but every other weekend, and doesn't speak to his own parents because his new wife doesn't like them. Perspective, please. Midlife crisis, anyone. I love our new, gorgeous house and our 4 kids and yes being self employed without any benefits and trying to get home health companies to pay us sucks, but it all works out and we are doing fine. The business will grow and if it doesn't Max can always find a job somewhere. And plus his wife is pretty hot. ;)
I love this guy so much. You know why? My amazing husband asked for a new Bible for his birthday because he gave his away to one of his patients a few months ago. I just really love this guy's heart for the lost. We may not have a lot of money, but we have Jesus and a lot of love.
