Kellyn's Swim Lessons

Kellyn takes lessons in this lady's backyard. This is fun for me because I get to socialize with all the moms. Last year was her first year to take them from her and she improved so much in those 4 weeks we knew we had to do it again this year. And to my surprise before she even took her first lesson this season she remembered how to swim from what she learned last year. Since I was so pleased with these lessons I forwarded this summer's schedule to all my friends as soon as received it in March. This worked out well for me because I got 5 of my friends to sign their kids up with Kellyn so she got to swim with her friends and I got chat with mine. :)

One day on the way out the door she couldn't find her flip flops so she just put on her rain boots. She is also not wearing her goggles, but rather her brother's toy workbench goggles.

Then on the last day of lessons her swim teacher told me that Kellyn is a naturally good swimmer and that we should consider signing her up for swim team! When I asked Kellyn if that is something she would like to do she said, "Yes, because swimming is not boyish." She said that soccer team is boyish, basketball team is boyish and karate is boyish, but not swimming. I think she might be basing this on what you have to wear to play these sports.
