Visiting Granny and Papa in Grapeland

Max finally had a weekend off where we didn't have a party or anything to do so we decided to go to Grapeland and see Max's grandparents on our way to The Woodlands to visit one of my college roomies and her family. We left around 1:30 after Max saw some patients and did some paper work and after Kellyn's 1st ballet class that morning.

The sun was so bright in the car I had to put sunscreen on them and put up the sun shade on Rhett's window.

We got there around 4:30 and Granny had made us dinner.
Rhett loved her fresh guacamole. It was sooooo yummy.

The kids enjoyed drinking milk out of glass jars.

Max's Granny and with grandson and her great grandkids.

I just thought this purse was so pretty. I'm so curious about the stories behind it and where all it had been and who all it had seen. She said it is over 100 years old.
I freaked out when Kellyn picked it up and hung it on her arm. I thought it was going to fall apart.
It should be in a museum.
We explored a bit upstairs and Rhett found this couch or whatever it is called and just collapsed on it. It was at least 95 degrees upstairs. They don't turn the air on expect for in 3 rooms in their house downstairs.
