I can't help but talk about this on Veterans Day and thank all the veterans and their families for their sacrifice and service and my freedom and right to vote. Thank you and I'm so sorry you only get one day of honor and gratitude. You deserve everyday.
Tuesday night was the presidential election.
Wednesday through Friday was our grieving time. I was disappointed then sad then scared and worried then angry. Max was just angry then enraged. Now we have completed our grieving process and have since calmed down and are peace about it. Max met with a former patient turned friend of his Wednesday night and had a huge epiphany and life changing revelations that allowed God to take all that anger and resentment out of him so he live in freedom from it now regardless of who is or isn't president. I mean God isn't surprised by the outcome of this election and it doesn't change my prayer life. I will continue to pray for our president, my children, my husband, our future.... It is what it is and we're fine. God is in control and I rest in His perfect plan. No matter who is president Jesus is my king. The sad thing is that people have allowed this election to divide families, ruin life long friendship, and harden their hearts. Isn't that just what Satan wants? Don't post something mean on facebook or email your sibling a nasty email. That isn't sharing Christ's love. As Christians we are called to be a light in this world and all this fighting and mean spirited/dooms day talk isn't allowing Christ to shine through us. So I congratulate those of you who's candidate won. Clearly mine did not, but I won't allow it to divide us. I'm so proud to be an American. We are so privileged to live in a free country and have the right to vote. I pray we become a nation united and not one divided, The UNITED States of America. And I pray this great country that I live in will fall on it's knees before God instead of turning it's back to Him.
Well, I've said too much and now I pray I don't get hate mail or hurtful comments.

Saturday night was the Aggie/ Alabama game!
I never thought in a million years that my Texas Aggies would beat #1 Alabama. We rolled that Tide back! WHOOP! To be honest I was not holding out too much hope for the Aggies to do all that great this first year in the SEC, but they have rocked it! I didn't even think Aggie football would be fun to watch this year. Boy was I wrong! I could not have been more wrong! They have been thrilling to watch. Oh Kevin Sumlin where have you been all my Aggie life? This coach has breathed new life into the Aggies. And our quarter back, Johnny Manziel a.k.a Johnny Football is unbelievable! It feels like this Aggie team could be as awesome as they were in the 80's when Kevin Murray was the quarter back. (I taught his youngest son in 1st grade by the way). Needless to say this Aggie win jump kicked us out of our post-election funk big time. We have been on an amazing high. I mean there really isn't much else to say about this other than WHOOP! and Gig'em!
"There's a spirit can ne'er be told - it's the spirit of Aggieland!"
We have been through the gamut of emotions this week. :)
At church on Sunday we sang the most appropriate and moving songs and it just made me realize how none of this earthly stuff really matters. The true victory is already won! Jesus has overwhelmed the grave! He is my Savior and He will take me home one day!

"I Will Rise"
There's a peace I've come to know
Though my heart and flesh may fail
There's an anchor for my soul
I can say "It is well"
Jesus has overcome
And the grave is overwhelmed
The victory is won
He is risen from the dead
[Chorus:]
And I will rise when He calls my name
No more sorrow, no more pain
I will rise on eagles' wings
Before my God fall on my knees
And rise
I will rise
There's a day that's drawing near
When this darkness breaks to light
And the shadows disappear
And my faith shall be my eyes
Jesus has overcome
And the grave is overwhelmed
The victory is won
He is risen from the dead
[Chorus:]
And I will rise when He calls my name
No more sorrow, no more pain
I will rise on eagles' wings
Before my God fall on my knees
And rise
I will rise
And I hear the voice of many angels sing,
"Worthy is the Lamb"
And I hear the cry of every longing heart,
"Worthy is the Lamb"
[x2]
[Chorus:]
And I will rise when He calls my name
No more sorrow, no more pain
I will rise on eagles' wings
Before my God fall on my knees
And rise
I will rise
