Awesome August 2015

Bo turned 18 months old on July 31! So we went to Paradise Pond in Grapevine with friends to celebrate. I used to take my 2 big kids there with our playgroup when they were little, but haven't been there in a few years. But here we are again with round 2. :)
1 week after getting back from our trip to Galveston we went to The Patterson's lake house. Sadly Kellyn had a low grade fever which seemed like a little ear infection, but she felt well enough to still want to go so we did. As the day wore on she felt worse and her fever got higher. But that didn't stop her from riding on the boat and jumping of a boat dock! Max told her and Rhett that if they jumped off the ROOF of the boat dock then he would too. I don't think he was thinking they would really do it because he was the last man standing up there before he finally did it. :)

Max learned how to surf behind the boat. So sweet how Clacie and Bo are watching him.
Kellyn was sick with a fever for 5 days. Seems that she had the same throat virus that Bo had the previous week when we were in Galveston. :(
The next week, at 8 months pregnant, I survived taking all 3 to the roller rink. It was good exercise chasing Bo around. ;) We met The Henderson kids there. We hadn't been skating since Kellyn's birthday back in October. The kids loved it and couldn't wait to go back!
Rhett and Ethan used to be in preschool together and I used to babysit Elan when she was an infant.

We picked Rhett and Brett up from their Lego camp one day and went to get Bahama Bucks. Here they are trying to protect their snow cones from a baby. :)

Then my cousin, Jordan, came to see us! We hadn't seen her in over a year.

The old, the young, and the very pregnant under the cabana watching them swim. :)

That evening we all went to Highland Village Balloon Festival.

The next day was my baby shower! I'm so grateful that these sweet ladies wanted to celebrate this unexpected precious gift of life God has created. Thank you to Gina and Amy for hosting at La Madeline's.

Dedra and I  are 1 week apart!
Look! All of my family are smiling with eyes open!

The next week I took my 2 soon to be elementary students out for a special lunch date at the Cheesecake Factory in the Stonebriar Mall in Frisco after their dentist appointments. They insisted on riding the carousel while we were there. :)

We had 1 day at the end of August that a cold front blew in and it was in the 70's!!! It was so nice we decided to invite friend out to my parents' house to ride horses before the smoldering heat came back.
Bo enjoyed chillin' with his lovey while waiting for a ride. :)

The very last week of August was when public school started so we took advantage of no crowds and headed to The Grapevine Mills Mall to Sea Life Aquarium! It was awesome having the place to ourselves.
We also went to Build a Bear because I'm 8 1/2 months pregnant and weak. No, but seriously, they had been wanting to go since summer started, but Max and I felt that it was a waste of money (which it is) but I agreed if they could pay half. By the end of August they each had enough to pay half for their build a bear and 1 outfit so I took them.

Us girls all got our nails done before school starts and baby arrives. Always a fun tradition.

After meeting their teacher on Thursday morning my mom took them roller skating and bought them brand new skates! She even skated with them!

That night, the last day of summer vacation, we made stepping stones to commemorate the start of a new school year and how little everyone's hands were when we moved into this new house. :)
Well It was fun filled and exhausting summer, but now it's back to reality when school starts tomorrow.
