Truth in the Tinsel Week 1!

We did Truth in the Tinsel for the first time last year and it was so fun and rewarding. 

You download the book then follow the instructions each day on what Scripture to read and how to do the corresponding craft.

Day 1 - Jesus in the light in a dark world. 

Day 2 - Jesus is the King

Day 3 - The angel Gabriel told 

Day 4 - 

Zechariah didn't believe what the angel, Gabriel, told him about his wife Elizabeth bearing a child in her old age so he was unable to speak until the baby was born. Kellyn also drew a picture of "Elizabeth being so happy and baby John up in heaven waiting to be born."

I love how each night the kids are anxious for Daddy to come home and read from the Bible. 

And how they ask each day what the craft is. 

Day 5 - Gabriel told Mary she was going to give birth to God's son. 

Rhett was telling Max that he already knew Mary was Jesus's Mommy and God was his dad. :)

 Day 6 - 

Mary goes to visit her relative, Elizabeth, and they talk about their special pregnancies. 

 Day 7 - Mary's song

 Day 8 - Jesus in like the rising SUN shining on a dark world. 

We're off to a great start of this new tradtion. I love how curious the kids are about what's coming next and intently they listen to the reading of God's word by their dad. Thank you, Truth in the Tinsel for making Jesus the reason for the season once again.
